#24 – My Parents visit Paris! Part 5

After two pretty packed days, on Saturday (August 18th), Kelly and I rested in the morning before meeting up with my parents at night. We had a very nice dinner at our apartment (Kelly cooked, I helped) with some great wine.
On Sunday, we all met up and went to the Rodin museum. Rodin was a sculptor who made some iconic statues – including The Thinker. The museum is just another one of those ‘not quite hidden’ gems of Paris – something that most people given a few days in the city might overlook. The whole museum was full of sculptures, paintings and other pieces of art. Outside of the museum is a large garden, with more of the larger pieces, like The Thinker, The Gates of Hell, and many others.
After exploring the museum, my parents had to start heading to the airport, so we said goodbye and went back to our apartment. I’m so glad they were able to come and spend so much time here, and so much time with us; it was an incredible trip and I certainly will never forget it!

  1. Thank you Kelly and Nick for your hospitality and expertise regarding the Paris transit systems. Greatly appreciate both of you spending your time off to act as personal tour guides. We greatly enjoyed the time we spent with the both of you, a trip that will never be forgotten. I have been looking forward to more of your posts. I always check weekly, glad to see you were writing and publishing them again. Thanks and love to you both, dad and mom.
